S Pump

Overview

GS pumps form the backbone of many sewage systems. They are selected for their strength, their durability, and for innovative features such as the SmartTrim impeller clearance adjustment system and the Smart Seal for leakage prevention.

The SmartTrim system used on the S-pumps makes it easy to adjust the factory-set impeller clearance and thus to maintain maximum pump efficiency.

The Grundfos SmartSeal Auto-coupling gasket provides a completely leak-proof connection between the pump and the base unit of the auto-coupling system. The shaft seal is capable of rotating in either direction. When the pumps are installed with separate pipework, sludge sedimentation can be avoided by back-flushing the system at regular intervals.

Applications

The pumps are suitable for the following applications:

  • Transfer of unscreened raw sewage
  • Transfer of raw water
  • Pumping of water containing sludge
  • Pumping of industrial effluent.

SL

Overview

The Grundfos SLV and SL1 pumps are designed to handle unscreened sewage, effluent, large volumes of surface water and process water in municipal, utility and industrial applications.

The pumps are available with SuperVortex impellers (SLV) or high efficient channel impellers (SL1), allowing for free passage of solids up to 100 mm in size.

The SLV and SL1 pumps are designed for permanent submerged installation, e.g. by means of an auto coupling or a guide rail system, or for free-standing installation on a ring stand with a flexible pipe connection.

Applications

The SL pumps are designed to optimise the operation of a system. Reliability, simple service, and complete system compatibility are some of the main advantages.

SL pumps are designed for submerged use in network pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants, public buildings, blocks of flats, and industry.

AMD Mixer

Overview

Mixers and flowmakers ensure that particles remain evenly distributed in wastewater and sludge, preventing sedimentation and supporting treatment processes.

The range covers everything from small-scale mixers, ideal for prefabricated pumping stations, to large-scale flowmakers created for large tanks and basins. Wastewater infrastructure is an obvious application area from network stations to treatment plants but the mixing power of the AMD, AMG, and AFG ranges is also appreciated by industry and agriculture professionals worldwide.

Applications

The mixers and flowmakers are designed for mixing, i.e. homogenization and suspension, of liquids in:
